Freediving Class with Seamus Callaghan

Blue Water Hunter is hosting a freediving course on May 8–9, followed by an Open Water dive at Anacapa Island on May 17.

PFI instructors have trained over 10,000 students to free dive safer, longer, and deeper. Space is limited to just 9 divers, so early registration is recommended.

This program provides the training and knowledge to safely free dive to a depth of up to 60 feet or deeper. With a high emphasis on safety and comfort, we will be covering the following:

• Essential safety procedures for breath-holding

• Equalization for depth diving

• Equipment for freediving and snorkeling

• The fundamental physics and physiology of freediving: understand what happens to your body at depth

• Safety & Problem Management

• Freediving Technique Development

• Breathing and Breath-Hold Technique Development

Our instructor, Seamus Callaghan, is a professional freediver who spends multiple days each week in the water—whether teaching students or pursuing his own spearfishing.
