Blue Water Hunter's Reels collection carries conventional and spinning reels for the full range of West Coast fishing, from light spinning setups for calico bass and surfperch to heavy conventional reels built for yellowtail, tuna, salmon, and deep-water rockfish. Conventional reels with strong drag systems are the standard for jigging, dropping bait to the bottom, and fighting bigger pelagic species from a boat, while spinning reels offer easier casting for lighter lures, bait rigs, and shore or pier fishing.
